Once again, and probably for the final time, 7 Ages Productions will bring their signature style of dinner theatre entertainment to Daly House Museum’s annual fundraising dinner. In this year’s production—entitled, “Voices of Our Past: Graveyard Conversations Dinner Theatre”—the actors will portray real-life historical figures from the Brandon area, bringing Brandon’s unique history alive for the audience.
“Brandon’s history is much more rich and nuanced than a lot of people realize,” says Trish Buri of 7 Ages Productions. “There are a plethora of intriguing stories and people—including some really surprising ones. We can’t tell the entire history of Brandon in one evening, but we hope to provide a good overview.”
In keeping with the dinner theatre format, the actors will remain in character throughout the evening, mingling with the guests before dinner, conversing with them during dinner, giving individual character presentations after dinner, and taking questions from the audience.
The dinner will be a homestyle meal complete with roast beef and mashed potatoes. Red and white wine will be served. There will also be a 50/50 draw, with proceeds going to Daly House Museum. Guests are also invited (but not obligated) to attend Daly House Museum’s Annual General Meeting following the dinner.
The dinner will be held on March 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Reading Association Hall. Tickets are priced at $50 for members and $55 for non-members and will be available until March 3. Daly House Museum is happy to offer a $25 tax receipt for each ticket purchased. All proceeds will go to benefit Daly House Museum and will be put toward exhibit curation, program development, archival management, and ongoing operations.
